Ex- President Olusegun Obasanjo Says - I made ‘successful’ mistakes as President.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Tuesday declared that he made “successful” mistakes as Military Head of State and civilian president.Obasanjo, who ruled the country between 1976 and 1979 as a military head and between 1999 and 2007 as a civilian President, however, took responsibility for all his actions.

He spoke in Ibadan, Oyo State during the 50th anniversary lecture to commemorate the call to the Bar of Chief Afe Babalola (SAN)....

Pensioners shut Unity Bank over N4.3bn severance package

Banking activities on Monday came to a halt at Unity Bank Plc in Abuja following protests by pensioners of the defunct Bank of the North over their unpaid N4.3bn severance package.

The protesters shut the gate of the bank for several hours and prevented workers and customers from gaining access into the premises.

The action, which took both the employees and customers of the bank by surprise, was to protest the alleged refusal of the bank to pay the severance package of about 4,000 former employees of Bank of the North.

Ezinne Akudo Crowned Miss Nigeria 2013

Twenty- two-year-old Anyaoha Ezinne Akudo has emerged winner of Miss Nigeria 2013 at the grand finale which took place yesterday at the prestigious Intercontinental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos. Akudo beat 20 other contestant to clinch the coveted crown, walking home with a grand price of N3million, a car and a trip to California. She also clinched the award for Miss Photogenic.

50 Cent denies kicking ex-girlfriend.

Yesterday news broke that 50 Cent had kicked his ex-girlfriend and mother of his previously unknown second child. According to reports the two had an altercation that resulted in 50 Cent allegedly kicking her and trashing her apartment. Now 50 Cent’s attorney has released a statement stating that 50 Cent denies kicking Daphne Joy.
His attorney spoke on the matter saying, “Curtis Jackson denies these allegations as made against him. It is important to note, Mr. Jackson has not been arrested and there is no warrant outstanding for his arrest.”
