NOLLYWOOD ACTRESS MERCY JOHNSON SHARES NEW FAMILY PICTURE ( PICTURES)

Mercy Johnson, who is a star Nollywood actress and wife of an Edo State-born oil and gas businessman, Prince Odi Okojie, has shared a recent family picture. The Kogi State-born make-believe queen posted a picture showing her husband and her 10-month-old baby named "Purity' and tagged it 'happy Sunday'.

Even a day old baby would easily recognize the formidable spirit of the two jolly friends on stage. D’banj and Don Jazzy, no doubt, both dominated the music scene for nine years before the cookies crumbled and they went their separate ways. Today, they have formed individual group, D’banj-DB Records, Don Jazzy-Marvin Record, but something still seems to be connecting the two together.

In an interview recently, D’banj confessed that he really missed Don Jazzy whom he had spent the better part of his career with.

Hear him “If I say I don’t miss Don Jazzy, I am lying. I have spent the better part of my career with him. I was married to him in a way (laughs). So I miss everything about Mo’Hits: the family, the movement, and the vibe of being in the studio with him. I miss the jokes and the arguments, but I have since keyed into the notion that nothing can stop a moving train. Nevertheless we can always do music together. The track, ‘Top of the World’ was produced by a Grammy Award Winner. The songs ‘Finally’ and ‘Don’t Tell Me Nonsense’ was produced by my producer while ‘Oliver Twist’ was produced by Don Jazzy. So, why won’t I have him on my 10 years anniversary album?”

Does Don Jazzy feel this way too? Really, Don Jazzy, who now operates Marvin Records, has not opened up on their issue since their separation, he has remained focused with his business, shunning out hit songs to remain permanently on top of the game. We are waiting if he would indeed accept to feature in D’banj’s 10th anniversary album.

How did you meet?

Ijeoma: I had seen him perform before and I was impressed with his style of presentation. The day we met, he hosted a show organised by my friend. When it was time for him to leave, he could not because someone was blocking his car. During the brief period he waited to move his car, we got talking and he gave me his call card. When I got home that night, I decided to call him since he did not have my number. I felt it would be nice to have a comedian as a friend. This was in May 2004. We have been married for eight years.

Patience Jonathan, Nigeria’s First Lady has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate degree by a South Korean University. Reports say this will be the fourth doctorate she has gotten since becoming Nigeria’s First Lady. Hansei University, the institution awarding the doctorate said Mrs. Jonathan was honoured because she had worked “hard for many good causes.” “She’s a humanitarian who has dedicated her life to working for the less privileged in Nigeria and Africa especially for women and children,” president and Chancellor of Hansei University, Sung-Hae Kim said.

Reports say:

“Her vision as the defender of the poor in Nigeria fits into Hansei University’s motto of a practising Christian. Now she’s part of our community,” Prof. Kim added.

The university also said it chose her for the degree because of her dedication to prayer.

”I was surprised that she travelled here for the Church Growth International conference years back to pray for Nigeria. For her selfless work, Hansei University confers this degree on her,” Yonggi Cho, co-founder of the Hansei University.

Terry G, also known as GZUS, was recently attacked by armed robbers on his way to perform at an event. Sources close to the singer disclosed that he was not harmed, but made away with some of his valuables including, phones, money, and jewellery among others.

Four days after a tragic crash involving an Associated Airline plane killed 14 people in Lagos, Minister of Aviation, Mrs. Stella Oduah, on Monday described accidents as God’s will that are inevitable.

She said notwithstanding this reality, the Federal Government would continue to ensure there were no accidents.

Oduah made the submission while fielding questions from State House correspondents on investigations into the Thursday Lagos crash, the safety of the nation’s airspace and the suspension of Dana Air’s operations, among other issues.

While reacting to a comment that the latest crash had made nonsense of government’s much-talked about reforms in the aviation sector, the minister said, “We do not pray for accidents but they are inevitable. But we will continue to do everything to ensure that we do not have accidents. But an accident is an act of God.

“Again, we do not speculate on the cause of accidents. Until they happen, you cannot say this is the cause or that is not the cause. But what is obvious and is the truth is that, in aviation, there are shared responsibilities, starting from the man that carries your luggage to the man that makes sure that your boarding pass is issued to you.

[ TRAGEDY ]: ABU graduate shot dead by policeman after beating up his girlfriend (PICTURED)

A 30-year-old first class graduate of Economics from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Moses Murtala Aminu, has been shot dead by a policeman.

The victim had left his 67, Ahmadu Ahijo Street, Narayi-Highcost family residence last week Sunday full of life for a party at Barnawa , Kaduna, but could not return home as he was killed by a police constable.

Akinsanya the son in-law of late Olusegun Agagu had walked out from the wreckage of the ill-fated plane in a conscious state , with just a minor injury on his head.

It was gathered that, Mr Akinsanya was spotted by men from the Air Force who were among the first set of people that came to rescue the victims at the crash site, they assisted him in controlling the flow of blood gushing out of his head.

It was also gathered that Agagu’s son in-law had insisted he wanted to get home to his family but he was told by an Air Force officer that he was under Federal Government’s custody and cannot be allowed to leave instead was taken to a nearby Air Force clinic. ..hmmm This is a miracle.

An Associated Airlines chartered flight crashed earlier today in Lagos shortly after takeoff around 9.30am from the Murtala Mohammed International Airport.

The plane, an Embraer 120 aircraft, which was carrying the body of the late former governor of Ondo state, Olusegun Agagu was said to have suffered engine failure and crash-landed close to the airport fuel depot killing several people on board.

[ BUSTED ] : Pasuma's Range Rover SUV Thieves Arrested By Police ( LOOK )

The police in Lagos State have arrested the alleged thieves of Pasuma's Range Rover SUV in May 2013. The suspected thieves were recently nabbed by men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), Ikeja, Lagos.

They allegedly confessed to have robbed the popular Fuji star of his 'mobile home'. The leader of the group, identified as Ade, allegedly bought a Toyota Camry saloon car with the share of the spoils. A member of the group, identified as Wale, was arrested by the police, who later confessed to robbing Pasuma, which led to the arrest of others. The arrested suspect was picked by the police after a neighbour sighted him allegedly burying some weapons at his backyard.

Pasuma was reportedly robbed in May 2013 at gun point at Amadiyah area of Abule Egba, Lagos and was driven to Itele, which is a border town in Ogun State.

Struck off: Grace Adeleye was banned from ever practising as a nurse in the UK again after a baby died during a home circumcision

according to a report by Daily Mail A nurse who let a three-and-a-half week baby bleed to death after carrying out a circumcision using just scissors, forceps and olive oil has been banned from practising in the UK.

Grace Adeleye, 67, performed the dangerous African treatment known as a ‘clamp and cut’ on Goodluck Caubergs for a fee of £100 at the baby’s home in Chadderton, Greater Manchester.

A Nursing and Midwifery Council panel heard that Adeleye carried out the circumcision at around 5pm on April 16 2010 and that Goodluck was still bleeding at 7am the following morning.

She took advantage of me on that fateful afternoon after luring me with sweets and biscuits. She stole my innocence and ever since then I have been haunted by that hurtful memory. That’s why I put passion into my acting career because its takes away my pain”.

He didn’t tell his parents about the incident but told their gate man and he says he is only talking about it now because it is bothering him.

“It is bothering me. I know I cannot turn back the hands of time and the memory will live with me but talking about it now will definitely relieve me and I will be fine. I want to advise parents to be watchful and careful about people they leave their children with or who their children spend time with. It is very important.” He said.

[ DISGUSTING ] : 28-YEAR-Old Man And His Daughter Arrested For Having Sex With Each Other ( READ )

A man and his step-daughter have been arrested and charged with inc*st in West Virginia. According to reports, Police arrested 28-year-old Kelcey Nicholas and 21-year-old Lataura Jarrett and charged them with inc*st even though they are not related by blood and are both over the age of consent. The couple reportedly face 15 years jail term.

Nicholas married Jarrett’s mother five years ago and authorities allege that she calls him ‘father’

Prosecuting Attorney James ‘P.K.’ Milam, Hopkins clarifies the definition of daughter in West Virginia law; According to state law, a daughter is the natural daughter of a person’s husband or wife — and Nicholas is still married to Jarrett’s mother, Hopkins said.

The two were charged with seven counts of inc*st, which under West Virginia law carried a penalty of anywhere between five and fifteen years in prison.

THE PREGNANT KAFFY DANCES RIGOROUSLY At Project Fame Grand Finale ( LOOK )

Nigeria's dance queen, Kaffy Ameh amazed many who stayed glued to their television sets last week when she entertained them with a rigorous dance routine. It was at the grand finale of the recently-concluded MTN Project Fame West Africa, which produced Olawale as the winner.

Kaffy, though five months pregnant, showed that being heavy cannot stop her from doing what she knows how to do best, which gave her fame and fortune.

She made many forget the fact that she is pregnant as she moved her body and almost made many fear for her and the unborn baby. Like some said, Kaffy has dance DNA in her blood.
