TONI BRAXTON LOSES MUSIC RIGHTS ?
In recent years Toni Braxton has been plagued by financial woes including bankruptcy. Now it seems her money challenges are about to worsen as she has now lost the rights to 27 of the songs in her catalogue. As part of a deal with her debtors Toni handed over the rights to some of her songs but with the option to buy them back for US$20 000. However the deal also allowed for anyone to place a higher offer for the catalogue and that’s exactly what happened. An individual named Ross Klein doubled Toni’s offer and seized the catalogue. This then means he now owns the rights to hits like ‘You’re Making Me High’, ‘How Many Ways’ and ‘Always’.
It is unclear whether one of her biggest hits, “Unbreak My Heart” is included in the list. Toni Braxton is also recently divorced.
