According to an eyewitness, who pleaded anonymity, the corpses were removed from the rubble around 12: 45am by a rescue team comprising officials of the Red Cross and operatives of the state Emergency Management Agency, who worked throughout the night.

It was learnt that the mother of the baby was rescued around 2pm on Thursday and was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was receiving treatment.
An aunt to the deceased children, Hajiya Fatima, confirmed that the six children were siblings.
“The three children that died are of the same parents with three of those rescued. The three bodies are at the mortuary while the remaining three are receiving treatment.”
The names of the three dead children were given Sulaiman (15), Maryam (13) and Kadir while those that survived are Taiwo, Kehinde and Idowu.
