“I am Too Busy Making Money” – Empress Njamah responds to Timaya’s “Negative” Comments ( READ )

If you were expecting the Nollywood actress to give her own robust reply after music star Timaya said she “has a negative record”, you’ll be disappointed.

Punch recently contacted the actress to speak on Timaya’s comments. In the phone conversation, she revealed “People who are mature can depict what is true and what is not. I am not ready to say anything.”

On if the comment bothers her: “Why would it bother me? It is one thing to be hurt over such statement and another thing to be disappointed. I wasn’t hurt and I wasn’t even disappointed. Worst things have been said and written about me but the people who know who I am would tell the difference.”

She also revealed that she is more interested in her life at the moment rather than talking about “what doesn’t make sense”.

“I am more involved with my birthday and celebrating it with the orphans and the less privileged. I am better off talking about this than to talk about what is not important. I am too busy making money. People who know you will always know how positive you have affected their lives. I am surrounded by so many people who have shown me love so there is no reason for me to be pained.”

Ace music producer, OJB Jezreel, who is still recuperating in India after a successful kidney transplant, is expected to return to Nigeria next week. Ahead of his arrival, his residence in Surulere, Lagos is currently being given a major facelift. The duplex was said to have been brought down to its foundation and now being built into a bungalow.

According to reports:
Our correspondent who visited the producer’s residence at 4, Gbaja Street, Surulere, the compound is constantly under lock and keys, with access only by masons and workers.

Award-winning American singer and actress, Mary J. Blidge revealed recently that the death of her close friend, Whitney Houston shocked her and led to her decision to give up alcohol.

The star said Houston’s death in February 2012 had a major effect on her and she began to think about her mortality. She also quit drinking in an attempt to improve her health.

She said: ‘I was at her funeral [and] being that close to someone you loved so dearly, in a coffin, it freaked me out. It made me realise the importance of my own life. ’I didn’t stop overnight, it was a process. I feel great right now. I have more clarity, more focus, more patience. And I lost weight. When you stop drinking it flies off!’

American Rapper Wale arrives in Lagos for the Johnnie Walker Party ( LOOK )

American Rapper of Nigerian descent Wale arrived at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos today for the anticipated Johnnie Walker event set to take place this Saturday 30th November 2013 in Lagos.

The rap star who was scheduled to perform at Ice Prince‘s Fire of Zamani Concert on Saturday, cancelled his trip. His rep cited delays in flight payment.

[ BREAKING ] :: Peter Odemwingie Loses £70, 000 to Fraudster ( READ )

Cardiff City FC striker Osaze Peter Odemwingie has lost over £70,000 to a British woman.The 38 year-old Claire Duke has appeared in court to defend herself for her involvement in the fraud.She was charged with conning thousands of pounds from Premiership footballers while working as their “lifestyle coach.”

The Briton is also accused of defrauding high-profile clients including Osaze of more than £70,000 over a one year period.

It is alleged Duke received money for holidays and flights from clients but kept the money for herself.

She appeared at Cannock Magistrates’ Court in Staffordshire last Wednesday charged with five counts of fraud and one of theft.

EFCC arraigns teenage boy for duping American of $40million over the Internet (PICTURED)

Suspected teenage Internet fraudster, Tobechukwu Igbokwe, and his accomplice, Ifeanyi Obi have been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for allegedly defrauding an American of $40 million.

19-year-old Igbokwe and Obi have been held at the Kirikiri prisons since they were caught after a gig went burst.

Nigerian Eye reports that the American victim, Michael Silva had wired the total sum of $40 million to the boys in Nigerian believing them when they told him that they had a huge inheritance that they wanted to move to a foreign account for safekeeping.
