The first 20yrs of my life, I seriously had this dream of being a priest. I was overfed with an overdose of religion which has always been a very serious business in my family. You dare not be late for morning mass or else you get the whipping of your life, yes my father was that strict, no nonsense when it came to going to church or anything spiritual. That’s where I’m coming from, we were a family that prayed together and were very staunch Catholics for that matter.

[ VEXATION ] : -FANS BLAST ACTRESS, CHIKA IKE OVER DIVORCE ANNOUNCEMENT

Probably in a move to get sympathy from fans, the actress took to social network Facebook in the wee hours of Monday, July 29, 2013, to announce to her teeming fans that the court has finally granted her a divorce. “Hi fans. Thank you all for your love and support over the years. It’s been an emotional journey and I want to announce to you guys that the court has granted me a divorce. I’m now officially divorced. Thanks,” she posted.

But her fans seem not to be okay with the news as lashes of words soon started pouring in. While just few congratulated her and urged her to move on with her life, many didn’t find the news funny, criticizing her of going public with her divorce as if it were a good development.

[ BUSTED ] :- MOB CATCH & BEAT UP THIEF TILL HE BLEEDS IN DELTA STATE

The young man in the ditch is a thief, who was caught this morning in Shell road, Sapele, Delta state.

According to an eyewitness, the thief (name unknown) had snatched a woman’s handbag in another part of town, Ugbeyi Sapele and sped off on his motorcycle.

The poor woman couldn’t raise an alarm, but fortunately a soldier who saw her bag get snatched quickly borrowed someone’s Hilux and gave the thief a hot chase. Somehow, the thief got away. But not for too long. Cos nemesis caught up with the thief when he got to Shell road. Some young men noticed the motorcyclist was holding an handbag but was without a passenger. When the thief was approached, he sped off. But unknown to him, where he rode to was a dead-end. The youth chased him into the bush, caught him, battered him, and threw him into a pit, waiting for the police to arrive.

[ FIRE INCIDENT ] :- REPORTED AT ALAUSA LAGOS

There are reports of a fire incident near the Central Mosque at Alausa in Ikeja, Lagos.Sources say men of the fire services are already at the location battling to put it out but the intensity is overwhelming. Ibrahim Farinloye of the Nigerian Emergency Management Authority (NEMA) says the fire is intense but the fire service officials are fighting it. He, however, gave no word on the number of casualties if there are indeed any.Details of the incident are still sketchy but we shall bring them to you as we get them.

[ POLITICS ] :- INEC APPOINTS "AUGUSTA OGAKWU" AS NEW SECRETARY

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has approved the appointment of Augusta Chinwe Ogakwu, as the new Secretary to the Commission. Her appointment was announced today, after being approved at the meeting of the commission in a statement made by the Chief Press Secretary to the INEC Chairman, Kayode Idowu. Mrs. Chinwe Ogakwu, succeeds Abdullahi A. Kaugama, whose five-year tenure expired on June 26, 2013.

Mrs. Ogakwu will assume the new office from her present position as Director, Legal Services Department in INEC. She had assumed that position in April 2013, after serving as the Head of Unit / Director, Alternative Disputes Resolution since May 2009. She was also Acting Director, Legal Services Department from May 2003 to September 2005.

[ MIRACLE ] :- CANADIAN MAN BORN BLIND SEES FOR THE FIRST TIME AT AGE 68 ?

According to the information gathered from Daily Mail online, 68-year-old Pierre-Paul Thomas was born blind and would have continued to live without vision if he hadn't fallen down his stairs two years ago. The fall sent him to the hospital for fractures around his eye sockets and when treating his injuries a surgeon for the first time realized his blindness was curable.

Thomas was born with congenital nystagmus, a condition that made his eyes move side to side involuntary and had damaged optic nerves and cataracts on top of that. He had resigned himself to the fact that he would never be able to see. 'It's bad luck but that's how it is,' he told the Montreal Gazette.

RUSSIAN LAWMAKER PROMISES TO ARREST ANY GAY ATHLETES OR SPECTATORS AT THE 2014 WINTER OLYMPICS FOR PROMOTING HOMOSEXUALITY

Openly gay athletes and supporters at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games may face arrest, according to a Russian lawmaker.Politician Vitaly Milonov said the terms of the law could not be suspended or selectively enforced during the Olympic Games. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) previously claimed Russia had assured the safety of athletes and supporters. Milonov told Interfax news agency: ‘I haven’t heard any comments from the government of the Russian Federation, but I know that it is acting in accordance with Russian law. ‘And if a law has been approved by the federal legislature and signed by the president, then the government has no right to suspend it. It doesn’t have the authority.’

He also claimed that American politicians he had spoken with support his view, reported the Huffington Post.

He said that they: support the stance I have taken on this issue.’ The IOC told the Windy City Times earlier this month: ‘The International Olympic Committee is clear that sport is a human right and should be available to all regardless of race, sex or sexual orientation.

[ HEARTLESSNESS ] : - GRANDMA SELLS BABY TO CHILD TRAFFICKERS IN JOS FOR N200,000........

The law has finally caught up with four women as they were arrested by the Plateau State Police Command for specialization in baby trafficking. The four suspects Kate Anwacha, Eucharia Anyeagbu, Rita Madubuko, and Grace Nnadozie, were arrested in Jos after they tried to sell an eight-month-old baby, Chiamaka Obinna in Awka, Anambra State. Plateau State Commissioner of Police, Chris Olakpe, told news men that the mother of the baby, Blessing Godspower, reported to the police that her mother, Kate Anwacha, dishonestly sent her on an errand and thereafter sold her baby, Chiamaka Obinna, at the rate of N200,000 to Eucharia Anyeagbu. After which Eucharia sold the baby again at the sum of N330,000 to Rita Madubuko, in Awka, Anambra State.

In turn, Rita sold the baby to Grace Nnadozie, at the sum of N500,000 but the baby was recovered by detectives of ‘A’ Division, Jos on July 24.Chris Olakpe added that the suspects would be charged to court after thorough investigation.

According to Leadership News Paper , A 50-year-old driver in one of the new generation banks, arrested for allegedly raping a 10-year-old girl, Zainab, who feigned ignorance of the implication of his offence, has told the police at the Kano State Police Command, Bompai police division, that he has successfully had carnal knowledge of five other minors in the past. The alleged rapist, Malam Yusif Ibrahim, a resident of Hayye Hotoron Arewa Quarters, Nassarawa local government area, is married with 11 children.

[ TRAGEDY ] :- COUPLE, BABY, AND OKADA RIDER CRUSHED TO DEATH IN LAGOS

A family of three including their one and half-year-old baby and a commercial motorcyclist were crushed to death by a commercial bus known as Danfo, yesterday, along Sagamu road, in Ikorodu area of Lagos.

According to sources, the commercial motorcyclist was conveying the family to an unknown destination when the bus rammed into them and immediately zoomed off when he realized he had knocked them down, abandoning the victims right in the middle of the road.

It was a pathetic sight this morning. What attracted us was a bang and before we knew what was happening, we saw the motorcyclist, a man, his wife and their male child sprawled on the ground. They were flung in different directions on the road.

A Catholic school in southern California allegedly fired a veteran teacher because he married his same-sex partner. The San Bernardino County Sun reported Wednesday that 45-year-old Ken Bencomo was fired from his job after teaching at St. Lucy’s Priory High School in Glendora for 17 years.

Bencomo’s attorney told the San Bernardino County Sun the school believed the teacher had “violated church teachings” by marrying his partner after same-sex marriages resumed in California.

This then means he now owns the rights to hits like ‘You’re Making Me High’, ‘How Many Ways’ and ‘Always’. It is unclear whether one of her biggest hits, “Unbreak My Heart” is included in the list. Toni Braxton is also recently divorced.
