THE ABSENCE OF D'BANJ RENDERS DON JAZZY'S MAVIN RECORD USELESS
Every lover of good music home and abroad will testify to this fact that the days of D’banj and Don Jazzy’s Mo’hits was the best formidable force in entertainment company in Africa.But when the organisation collapsed irreconcilably, things fell apart and the centre holds no more. But shortly after their break up, Don Jazzy launched Marvin Records where the likes of Wande Coles, Dr. Sid, Tiwa Savage top the list of the artiste under the label.
But recent checks has it that, there are actually some ‘epileptic’ artistes in the new record label who are supposed to be flushed out, even now that Wande Cole is rumoured to have left their. Since D’banj slammed the Mo’Hits door for his DB Records,we have not seen another charismatic artiste fly on Don Jazzy’s bewitching beats and it takes more than good beats to make a true artiste. Fela Kuti gave us good sounds, philosophical lyrics, charisma and fashion, all these, Mavin Records artistes lack.
Dr sid should probably go and try his luck in the hospital and put to practice his profession rather than waste up in the music industry. He seems not to be utilizing all what he has, as per good producer.
Dprince has a sex appeal, yes, no doubt but he his under utilizing himself as well, hes not using what he's got well. In summary, i think only Tiwa savage and Donjazzy can stand, the rest are wasting.
