Chanel No5 is to perfumes what Marilyn Monroe is to the world of fashion. And now the iconic fragrance that accompanied the lady to bed has been reincarnated.

The French fashion and fragrance house’s latest offering is a rare, collectible form of the parfum in an artisan-crafted case. The baudruchage secures the classic-faceted bottle adds a touch of Chanel to it. It has been priced at £2732.24 (Rs 2.3 lakhs approx), making it the most expensive icon of the perfume world.
The Golden Elixir
At the moment, the original No5 is being sold for £67 (Rs 5,640 approx). The limited edition launched prior to Grand Extraits bore a price tag of £1366.12 (Rs 1.14 lakhs approx) for a 7.5 ounce bottle. Would you pay twice as much for a limited edition bottle?
